Turbo Replacement - Easy Or Not ?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Sincere apologies if this has already been covered, but I am in dire need of advice.

I had my car problem diagnosed as a turbo fault... (Gone in other words) I can get a turbo for £165 inc vat & delivery with a 3 month warranty, and my question is this.

Is it a fairly easy job to change a turbo and does anyone have any diagrams or photo's on the process of changing the turbo over.

The car is a Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Zetec 2004

Many thanks in advance

Ian

I dont know about your model specifically but changing a turbo is relatively simple, its just a nut and bolt job really. what you will need to determine is that there are no other problems that have killed the turbo.

you should also make sure the turbo is lubricated with oil before you start the engine.
