Lumpy Idle

Featured Replies

HI i am new here but not new to fords. I have just bought a 05 plate mondeo tdci 130 ghia x and just recenlty its started to make a dry moaning sound for a second when lifting the clutch to change gear and also when i was driving home the other day the glow plug light came on and it slightly lost power, Also when idling it s lumpy and rattles but if you slightly press the clutch it clears now i am used to petrols and this is the first diesel i have owned so that may be normal. I know the previous owner had the injectors replaced and on this invoice i siad it may require a new mass air flow sensor would this cause rough idle and the coil light to flash?? or could the rattle and moan be the dreaded dmf failure :-(

Any help would be great

Matt
