2008 Mondeo Power Steering Fault When Cold

Featured Replies

Hi all, New to the forums so not sure if this is covered else where.

I have recently purchaced a 2008 2.0 tdci edge mondeo and have noticed that when the car engine is cold and you first go to start using the steering, the steering feels like it has a notchy feeling when the wheels are straight and you turn left or right from straight...once the engine warms up (eg power steering fluid is hot, 5 or so mins) the notchy feeling is away or appears to be away.

I have noticed that the power steering fluid is engine oil colour and not red like ATF.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

is it on the correct level maybe try draing the fluid and put new oil in and rebleed system
