Advice On Mondeo Tdci 130 2002

hi guys as title says its a mondeo tdci 2002 that im having problems with i have had the diagnostics plugged into it today and its told me that 2 dtc's were present 1 which was injection pump control modual malfunction other i cant remember. but was also linked to the pump. the problem i have is the car is suffering from intermittent starting problems where on 1st turn of key it would turn over but not start, then on 2nd attempt it would fire up as if nothing was wrong. would it be worth me changing the injection pump!! if so does this have to be reprogrammed as i can get a second hand one cheap, known to be working ok.

if anyone can help me that would be great thanks
