Over the years we had complaints about not being ale to search for less that 4 letters in a search. So search for RS was impossible.

Today We have installed Sphinx on to the server which will index the forums regularly and now allow 2 letter searches, such as RS etc. And not only that, it is 10 times faster searching difficult queries.

So, in order for us to test this, please use the search and if you come across any issues then please let us know!

    Hi Steve,

    By any chance does Sphinx allow for you to update the search bar to find "posts started by user" - I find it quite handy when looking for posts (I am looking for a thread I believe I started about my wingmirror on the Focus) and thought it would be easier to find all threads started by me to narrow it down!

    i can finally search for DRL and led this used to be a pet hate of mine but i can finally reduce my favorites bar list,

    i used to save some thread's as links in my favorites bar on the PC for future reference but i can just use the forum search engine to find them easily now. ispy.gif
