i wouldnt go any more than 35mm on the standard shocks as they will wear out very quickly. Apart from the 4 springs you wont need anything.

im thinking about doin it but will i need any special tools ? is it a easy job ? il need a lif if some sort or will it be ok just too jack it up and use axle stands .

No special tool are required really, you will need coil spring compressors though. If you have a socket set, a range of spanners and a set of allen keys you should be fine. you will also need a trolley jack and axle stands.

The back springs are very easy to do, as theres not much involved. the front ones are a little different though. you need to compress the springs, undo the bolts that hold the shock on to the steering assembly then support the steering assembly so the driveshaft doesnt get damaged. undo the bolts under the bonnet and remove the whole shock/spring assembly. getting the spring out of the assembly is fairly straight forward.

should take you a good couple of hours.

just noticed your car is a 58 plate, you shouldnt have much problems getting the bolts out either.

thanks for that , will have to hand it ova to a pro sounds a lil bit risky as iv never worked on a car before and would prob take me too long been v carefull and too precise lol.
