Mk 4 Diesel Mondeo Engine Noise Cover

Featured Replies

Hi

It's been pointed out to me that my Mondeo is missing the noise suppressing cover that sits on top of the engine.

I'm not sure of the part name but I believe it sits on 4 ball type anchoring points.

Any idea how much I'll have to pay for a replacement??

Thanks

Gerry

Why not try a scrap yard?

Yeah... I'll give it a go on Monday. Is it worthwhile buying one if Ford felt that the part can be done without??

2.0 TDCi? Either one of the 8th or 9th on the list in the link mintalkin posted would be likely candidates to fit the bill, as long as it's emissions stage III or IV.

Not sure if they come with the rubber grommets, but they can be had for a few quid at any Ford parts shop.

I had to buy a couple of them when I bought mine second hand.
