Mk4 2.0 Tdci - Coolant Leak

Featured Replies

Hi all

I've not had a good weekend. Dual Mass Flywheel gave up the ghost on Friday - luckily I managed to get it replaced yesterday morning (including clutch & slave cylinder) for the very reasonable price of £620 all-in.

This morning I did an oil & filter change and noticed some fluid washing around 2 of my injectors. At first I thought it might be a fuel leak but having sucked some of the fluid out it is obviously coolant (pink). I mopped up all of the coolant with rags and dried it our with the airline. Went for a short run and rechecked. Sure enough, the well around injector 3 & 4 was full of coolant again. See below:

I wasn't even aware that the coolant circulated around this area. Anyone have any suggestions about what might be going on? Could it be a failed seal/gasket in the cylinder head cover/inlet manifold?
