Hi I am Michelle (number plate was brought for my 4yr old son Max to have when he is older, its also OH Name too) and I love my new car, brought it Nov 08, originally went in the showroom for a 1.2 in black and walked out with a 1.6 zetec s in frozen white and have no regrets, have had a few problems with it though and its actually booked in to have a brand new drivers seatbelt as its fooked. I have had to have the boot catch altered as it kept flashing up that the boot was open, also putting into reverse it crunches badly - and no its not my driving, its actually popped out of gear when reversing!!!!!! my drivers door speaker really vibrates even with bass turned right down, oh and 4th to 5th is not smooth - anyone else had any of these problems?

anyway piccies:

I get comments all the time about the car, everyone wants to have a look inside, its a real head turner especially the first week we got it as there really wasnt many new fiestas on the road around here. When I drive it, it takes me back to my early twentys and driving my lovely xr2!

Hi Michelle and welcome,

got to say your fezzi looks really great ,not being a lover of white cars as I have had loads of white cars (company ones ! ) when I got my own Mondeo I had red , then I changed for fezzi In panther black last year, but I have got to say your 3 door in frozen white does really look brilliant (no pun intended) especially with the blue interior....... classy is the word, real nice looker

Thanks Kristal, I wasnt sure on white as they didnt actually have a car on the forecourt in frozen white and I kept picturing off coloured cream type whites lol, so was holding my breath abit when I went to collect it, then as I turned the corner there she was standing there gleaming away and I loved it straight away I knew we had made the right decision, my OH is a car valeter and said there was no way he was going for a dark colour as it would mean he would have to clean it more often hee hee. He has been good though and fully valets it every week weather permitting. x

Yeah know what you mean about the cleaning..but black does look good in the sun,and all that washing and polishing does keep the calories down lol

Hi Michelle :)

Your car looks STUNNING in white!!! I haven't seen all that many in white, I think about 2, and they've turned heads everytime!

I always found white pretty 'bog standard', but clearly not so in the Fiesta's case! It really suits that colour! :D

Happy Motoring

Abbie

My last fiesta and this one ALWAYS crunches going into reverse....if you dont put your foot down on the clutch so far it doesnt do it!!! A tip for you there.

Love the car, nice reg plate too :) xx

Looks superb in white. I actually think it's one of the best colours.

Very nice car... and it looks fantastic in Frozen white! - Got one in black... and it´s also a stunning colour (IMO of course... ;o))

I do have the same "problem" with the boot! - I have to slam it a bit hard to avoid getting the warning signs flashing up!

So that's where I've been going wrong. Twice today, once whilst polishing and again when I nipped to the shops I got the Boot Open warning as I was about to pull off. Must remember to shut the sodding thing harder.

It´s a bit strange... cause it´s not always it will close properly even though you slam it quite hard! - I "can feel" on the "slam" whether it´s closed or not... and I have been told, that when you have tried once and failed to close it right, then you have to wait for about 5 seconds before you try again! - This because there should be some electronically/magnetically device in the boot-loock that needs to "adjust" itself before you try again! - Don´t know if it´s true though!!!

;)

I have found it hard slamming the boot, every time I shut it I get the warning light on in the car!!

Hi Michelle, lovin the car, I think all of them look great but I guess all of us here will say that as we are part of a Ford Fiesta appreciation group, but it does look good everyone else who says it not is wrong.

I esp love that rear boot lid spolier looks way cool.

Thanks for your replies. My boot catch had to be altered, when it went in for its 3 month curtesy check I had a list ready for them lol they came back that the seatbelt was faulty and needed a whole new one, basically it clicks every second when pulling it across the body, the passenger one is fine, I have tried very slow pulling but no it still locks up!!!!! the seatbelt is on back order apparently and has taken 3 weeks so far with still no sign of being in stock to be replaced! they admitted the boot catch was dodgy and needed altering (mine was doing exactly the same as skinfaxe) the speaker on the drivers door vibrates when the volume is on 18 and bass is turned down to -3 which isnt exactly loud. I tried the tip about not putting the clutch right down this afternoon and it still crunched, then I pressed the clutch right in and held for 2 seconds (the 2 second rule apparently by fords) it went into reverse, the lights came on as I could see the reflection in the shop behind me and then as I started to reverse it popped out of gear and made that lovely "I cant drive a car scrunching noise".

I love the low down to the road feel the sport has, it definately takes me back to my boy racer days, it holds the road really well and excellerates out of the bends like a dream hee hee!!!!!

Oh by the way my previous car was a Mercedes 4.5ltr 4x4, costs me £40 a week in fuel, £77 a month in insurance and £250 a year in tax, my Fiesta is paid each month by the savings we are making getting rid of the Merc.

I cant imagine paying £77 per month on Insurance...............My fezzi cost me £180 a year fully comp with the Zurich even my mondeo was only about £236 i think for a 2ltr I know the merc was big under the bonnet but £77.just think of all those shoes you could have brought....lol

I know it was ridiculous and I have full no claims, apparently a sort after car to nick alongside the BMW X5, anyway I only pay £20 a month on Fiesta now for me and OH. Its nice to only put £15 a week fuel in too now, before £15 just took me out of the red and got me to Asda and back = just!!!!!

WOW! I love it! Would of gone for white if id got the S.

My insurance is £85 a month for a 19 yea old on a 1.25 zetec :)

:o :o :o :o :o

Nipz, you're kidding, right? Is that fully comprehensive insurance? Blimey, isn't a 1.25 fezzer just an insurance Group 1?

Wish i was :( i would of gone for the zetec S if the insurance was cheaper. Roll on 21 :)

Hopefully when my insurance comes up for renewal in 3 months it will go down again :)

I'm paying just under £1000 a year for insurance......Due to be renewed in May this year which should bring it down to under £600 with 2 years no claims and i'll be 21 :P

As for the boot problem, i had a simular problem but mine decided to lock it's self shut! Ford soon fixed it for me :)

Your 'S' in white looks mint ;) Seriously though it looks brilliant and the blue trim works well too. Overall, a great looking car. I could, having seen yours, choose white too if I was buying a new fezzer.

Thanks x

Your motor looks really cool in white. Nice. I managed to get into a 5 month old 1.25 Zetec last week and I have fallen in love.... It's Squeeze Green, wasn't sure about the colour but it has grown on me coz of the heads it manages to turn. The boot thing...mmmmm. I was told by 3 different Ford employees the same response, SLAM the boot! That does work but it is not a 10 yr old car! So when everything is ironed out i will take it in to my local Ford garage and hopefully get a 1.6 Zetec S as a curtosy(spelling?) car lol! This really is a lovely looking car and really drives well even for a 1.25. I had a 206 1.4 previous and it cannot compare to this Ford delight. I should never have left the Ford clan. I cannot imagine how the 1.6 feels although from the look on Jezza Clarke's face some months ago when he recommended it, it looks really exciting to say the least. I must say I had a Focus ST170 3 yrs ago and that was the dogs but this cheaper, mini focus is cooler! B)

Hi, about your car, i jsut love the white look, Ive got a panther black one and love it, but white is such a head turner! about your problems Ive had the same with the boot not lockin unless u slam it hard. And the speaker vibrates but on my passenger side door one, I was thinkinh of taking it back, but now im looking at upgrading the speakers anyway. But still love it!

We had to drive to Ashford recently to pick up the Eurostar and after driving my 4x4 merc it was a completely different ride, my merc was pure luxury had everything extra including dvd player, it was smooth and quiet, however my little fiesta was noisy and bumpy lol but it flew along just as good as my 4.5ltr merc did, it was just as responsive when needing to be for lane changing etc, the other big difference was boot space lol, but as the car is used by myself daily for work, a couple of school runs and a shopping trip every week its all we need now, the main trips to gatwick airport happens once a year and this year we will just have to hire a minibus lol.

hi. your car look really nice in white, i got my fiesta in green as i drive black cars for work and the car park needed brightening up lol. I had the same problem with the boot as well. I just turned 21 and my insurance for my 1.25 style with 2 years no claims im payin £47 a month with more than.
