What a beauty!

Would have kept the wing mirrors black but that's just my humble opinion!

Excellent job!

Cheers Mikey, luckily I still have the black mirror covers should I change my mind on the red. :D

Love all the completely custom work you're doing to this mate :) saved a fortune for sure! Really tempted to do those heated seats but I think that's a tad too complex for me! haha keep up the good work mate :)

Thanks for your comments Ikoyian, much appreciated :D.

As for fitting heated seats, have a look on you tube, there are lots of guides on how to retro fit them to your seats, they were very useful, biggest part of the job was working out how to dismantle the seats without damaging them, I did this in my living room 1 seat at a time. Was just a time consuming job, but was so worth it!

Dan you know u used red hammerite for your bonnet stay could you use brake calliper paint as thats all ive got atm lol

Yeah I cant see why not, should b fine. Do take your bonnet stay off of the car to paint it, you dont want to drip it onto your paintwork if brushing it on, it would b a nightmare to remove. I say this because after doing my brakes with mine I got up off the floor and managed to drop the tin of caliper paint on the car park floor very nearly tipping a full can over the wing of my car.

That paint is very good at stopping rust coming through too, which is usually present on a bonnet stay.

Have read through this entire thread, think what you've done is really clever and looks really professional, has really made me want to start messing around with my mk6, it's a tango colour facelift version of the climate, I don't want to make it look like it's a speed machine but it isn't, but really think it will lend itself well to some nice subtle mods! Think I'll buy the bits I'm gonna do off eBay and swap them out after spraying rather than taking bits straight off and spraying them up... Just in case like! Great work blokes, really inspiring stuff!

You still got this car mate?

The red grill and mirrors are hideous. Personal opinion just keep all one color.

Why o why?

Just asking mate, think 2015 ST wheels in like a Burgundy? Maroon? Dark red, would suit this.
