lowering suspension

Featured Replies

hi, i got a focus 1.8 zetec 2000 w reg and haveput some 16" alloys on wth 205/50/16 tyes on and i am now lookin to lower the suspension, anyonegot anyidea as to how much would be ideal, i mean lik is there a minimum aount you can lower your car?????:unsure:

Most lower their focus 40mm though it is possible to go lower you start to run into issues like scraping speedbumps, cant get in and out of multi storey car parks. I think with anything less than 40mm you wont like it with only 16" wheels on. Most lower with 17's and 40mm makes the wheel sit nicely against the gap to the arch. Lower it much more than 40mm and you're also gonna start running into camber issues which will need to be corrected too. Would be good to see pics when its done though.
