Hi all rob here, i'm new here just turned 18 a few weeks ago and yesterday I bought my first car. After years and years (since I was 10) of saving I finally purchased my own car a ford fiesta zetec 1.25 61 plate. I am currently in my last year studying photography comes in handy because in my spare time I like to photograph vintage cars.

Heres a little picture of my car i'm totally in love with it and glad I saved up for it trust me it took lots of will power not to blow it on nights out. I already bought the DMB gel overlays months before I bought the car. I don't plan on any further modifications to the car due to high insurance premiums for teenagers. post-46165-0-10897800-1376931338_thumb.j

Welcome Rob!

That's an awesome purchase. 2 things though-

1: people born in 1995 can drive now?! I was 7 years old. Man I feel old!

2: that's your car already?! I had a bus pass, for "Magic Bus". There was nowt magic about it....!

haha thank you

yeh i'm 18 your only 25 not that old, and it took years and years of saving but I know i'm one lucky boy :)

Hi welcome :)

Hi Rob welcome to the club

haha fairplay though, thats a hell of a thing to show for your will power B)

trying to tune up your 1.25's performance isnt worth the hassle anyway for the small outcome; so dont fret about that!

cosmetics wise, you could detango your lights and have clear indicator bulbs, you've got the right spec in picking a zetec too so you'll have ambient lighting - you could just change the footwell lights to a different colour if you so wish :)

I know I would look a bit of a idiot trying to tune a 1.2 :D but yeah in the future i wouldn't mind a doing some stuff but probably be after the first year of no claims so my insurance premium doesn't rocket!

Thanks for the tips will seriously consider the footwell lighting idea:D

I thought EXACTLY the same thing (although I'd of been 6 in 1995), haha.

Welcome to the club Rob, very nice first car :)
