Just found that my copy of Microcat has expired and needs updating.

Does anyone know of the location of a newer update download that isn't locked with stupid download to unlock passworded file?

    If your microcat was on a dvd you have no chance of getting the latest one as it now gone live and the dvd production has now stopped :(

    Pity, it was a very useful tool indeed.

    Glad I got all the codes for my current project or I'd be up a paddle without a creek. :p

    They change the codes for some parts when they update the software,

    But ford will have a cross reference if some part numbers you have change,

    Micro cat was never designed to be a public software programme,

    It even enabled you to print invoices which could be used to falsify quotations on insurance claims,

    But its a shame ford have gone to new lengths to keep it from customers,

    They will lose business as result,

    Because using the software enabled enthusiasts to discover the upgrades that are possible such as mk2 st pod, boot 12v socket, polystyrene tyre well plug etc.

    Totally agree.

    I said as much to the parts guy yesterday.

    If they made the software available to customers their job would be easier and they would have queues of modders beating down their doors.

    From experience I know that needing something that involves them looking it up on their Ecat takes forever, yesterday I ordered 9 items by Finis code and was in and out within 5 minutes.
