No probs mate all part of the service not many people know about that capsule in the key

A lot of people think the circuit board is the transponder.

The circuit and battery are only for the central locking and nothing to do with the immobiliser circuit.

The transponder chip is purely for the immobiliser circuit and is not connected to any power source at all.

Do u kno how to get more light out of the rear revers lingo on a focus mk1 iv put a much brighter bulb in

  • Author

Iv just installed this led style bulb and ther is a big improvement

Totally agree.

I just fittted a 30w bulb, If I'd seen that 80w one first I'd have tried one instead.

Looking at the sellers listings I'd summise that the 80w bulb supercedes the 30w one.

I opted to remove the standard fitting altogether and put in led strips either side instead. Much brighter now and since its a similar mod to inside the car it fits in nicely ;)

Here it is

It's the rear reverse light that I'm trying to improve didn't kno if there was a way of putting a clear lens in instead of a frosted rear lens

You can get Lexus type ones which are clear but have coloured lenses back inside them.

I thought about theses but don't know what they would be like
