1.0 Ecoboost Remap

Hi. I've been considering getting a remap for my Fiesta ZS ecoboost, but before I really commit to getting one I'd like to know if anybody else has had theirs done? Could you really feel the difference in power? And if it's really worth the money? The one I was looking to get was Pumaspeeds stage 1 remap increasing BHP 12-15 which £299.95. They also do a stage 2 remap with upgraded parts. However would it possible to go straight for the stage 2 remap 15-18 BHP but no parts, then upgrade those over time?

Thank you.

Thanks, but that's a completely different car model, and untested on the fiesta. I still want to know if anyone else has had their cars remapped with the ecoboost or previous cars.

Not much for the Fiesta if you want to be able to remove it at a later date.

Check this link out.

Im fairly sure the only reason you get 12-15 bhp is with the help of the parts they install, so id firstly get the parts one at a time then go for a remap thats what im currently doing for my 1.2lt got air filter currently waiting for exhaust, then some over bits and piece then remap in the summer

Willy I've already been on that topic some time ago but wasn't much use, thanks anyway. I know you can get 12-15bhp standard from just a remap alone and not part upgrades but wanted to know if anybody had done already before I looked to spending £300 lol

I'm also looking but want to be able to take it off if I change my car at any point.

Can't find anything like that yet.

I'm running collins performance stage 1 remap it's only given me about 20bhp but a shed load of torque.

The main reason I chose collins is the way the write there software, they want smooth progressive power and it offers real nice smooth driving with a nice hike in power.

It accelerates like mad now really progressive all the way through the rev range now.

Try and get some printouts from other companies to compare but this ones the smoothest.

I've added my cat back exhaust and finsport induction kit since and I'm nudging about 150ps now, it goes like stink when you want but drives real nice when pootling round.

  • 3 weeks later...

Had an email from Collins performance with details on stage 1 remap, bhp approx 10 upto 132.9bhp and torque approx 17 upto 164.3 lb ft. Not quite what I was hoping but a reputable company and as above very smooth curve on the dyno graph.

AMD Thurrock have also sent a response. Similar figures to CP

"We can offer a remap for the new 1.0 ECOboost engines. The remap does make a nice difference all the way through the rev range on the ECO boost, you will also gain much better throttle response and improved drivability. The ECO Boost normally gains around 15bhp and 15-20 lbft of torque."

They did give prices and offers if bought with an exhaust.

I live near there went their other day, 400 quid for the stage 1 map includes dyno run, but half price if you buy a catback

The resulta they give are way to low. 145 bhp and 240 lb-ft without any other upgrade must be doable. Bluefin can do it, rica tuning can do it. :) just wait for the bluefin remap :)

Check the link in the post from Willy on 26-12-2013 in this topic. There is now a 100ps fiesta at bluefin for the tuning. Should be available soon . Just read the topic

As much as I'm tempted to get a stage 1 remap, after reading a few articles I decided I'm not going to go for the remap. Instead I'm going to wait until I gain another years no claim bonus (August) and look to get the Fiesta ST in September just before the 64 plates are released.

About Ford being able to see if you have any work done on your ECU even if it's returned back to standard and voiding the warranty. I know a lot of people still go ahead and the risk factor is minimal, as it is I don't have much luck with cars. But if I plan on having my ZS for another 6-7 months, I may as well just drive as sensible as I can and save some pennies.
