Replaced the battery on the fob but how do you reprogram the fob the instructions in the manual are useless says I have to insert key but nowhere to put it blanking plate is empty behind it

I thought all keyless had a backup slide out key and a barrel?

It does I don't have anywhere to put the key on the steering column

I cant remember if the barrel was in essence relocated. Unfortunately I dont know how to approach it from here, so I would hope someone with more experience can advise you further.

all sorted apparently it dosent need reprograming just new battery in and it works fine

I know for a fact that your key has a manual key blade hidden under the back cover, you pull it out and push the T shaped part into a slot under where the blade clips to enable you to turn it in the door lock.

i.ve got the same car,but there is no where inside the car to put the blade.

im shocked that there is nothing, it must be hidden somewhere?

My Focus has keyless and IIRC you are meant to pop off the blanking plate and insert the keyfob in not just the blade. I could be wrong but fingers crossed I have not had to do this yet!

Yes, if you have a look at the instructions it says there are two types. One you hold in next to the blanking plate and the other goes inside. Depends which type you have.

You remove the plastic cap from ignition barrel place the flat end of the fob into the plastic seat a turn fob and it's starts the car manually
