1997 Fiesta Drivers Seat Issue..

Featured Replies

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area, just signed up today to try and find help with this issue. I didn't realise there was such a huge community here, so I've downloaded the app and will keep posted!

Anyway, the issue was that my ex wife (wasn't ex when she did this) seems to of buggered my chair, lol. Basically she pulled the left hand lever on the front of the seat to make it go backwards which obviously didn't happen but ever since the whole seat now rocks back like a lid of a chest, and I can't seem to fix it.

I've got the trusty Haynes but can't find anything that mentions this issue, now I'm not mechanically minded and this is my first car so please forgive any ignorance I might display, its not intended.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

It won't move on the rails or the hand mechanism broke
