Flashing ' I ' Light ?

Featured Replies

This one's a minor, but still puzzling.

I have a 2012 Focus. Just noticed a flashing red 'i' light when the car is locked. Its located between the temp and fuel gauges. Not noticed it during the 5 months i've owned the car!

I think that if the light stays on there is a 'message' to be read, but I can't see one.

Is this normal for the 'locked' state?

Advice please.

Might be wrong ,But is it not something to do with the alarm ??? i also have the same light on my 2011 Zetec new shape focus.

Havn't had an alarm but it may have started when i exited the car with keys in my pocket and ignition on but no engine running i think!

I think thats the immobiliser active light :)

Yes, it's the alarm/immobiliser telling you and anyone having a snoop that it's active...
