Well Known Clutch Issues On Mk4 Mondeo Zetec (2010)?

Featured Replies

Hiya, just got my car back from the garage after £1100 work fixing a new clutch and flywheel.

My mondeo zetec (2010) Tdci only has 35000miles on the clock.

Is this normal?

Has anyone else had unexpected clutch failures?

Is it a well known problem of mondeos?

Thanks for your help and input

Anska

Thanks for the reply Jeebowhite, just me being unlucky then? I hope nothing else goes wrong like this - I can't afford it!

It is a problem on mk4 mondeo due to factory fitted dmf around 30.000 miles it's not just you I know of this problem happening a lot on mk4 tdci

Do the problems still exist on brand new ones?

I'm due to get mine in a few weeks and 30k miles will come up in a little over a year

It has happened to new ones but it Dosent happen to all if it does happen it is best to replace them with luc parts as they appear to be a lot stronger
