Hi Guys I bought a 2001 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec....its had a engine change which was a 1.6 zetec s from a fiesta now the problem I am getting is engine management light is on IAT sensor and maf sensor are the problem from diagnostic machine which causes lack of power especially on hills, greedy on fuel etc. who ever changed the engine I think has left original focus wiring loom in and the fiesta didnt have these connectors for the above sensor any ideas guys?

did the ECU get swapped over?

That's a good question I'm not actually sure on that....there's no iat sensor or maf sensor wires or nothing there so wondering if the fiesta had these on?

It could be a case that it looks in different places, so to be honest, it will probably be looking for a value in place A where if it exists its in place B?

I've checked all around the engine where I think it should be but can see any lose wires or sensors

Its a difficult one to diagnose over the net really, it sounds like the ECU is looking for something, but if the wiring and sensors arent there, perhaps it takes the values from something else, OR, the ECU in there is correct for the other car, but your car didnt have those bits...

What's ur fault codes if it's same year engine short block an head be same an if he bolted on all original focus bits back onto engine can't see it been problem

If the has been cut where would it be located on the loom? Also where is the maf sensor located on the fiesta 1.6 zetec s engine and where would it be located on the focus 1.6 zetec ?

On focus it going onto top of air box that looks like pre 2001 engine are u puttin focus intake manifold on that crankcase breather box won't match that one

I think they use have an airflow meter not maf it's been years since worked on one so not 100% could be wrong

Its got fiesta zetec s engine so manifold would be off that
