hi there all ive got a 51 plate focus 5 door failed mot on rusty inner rear wheel arches ive took seats out etc and took the linning out to which im surprised it like carpet and of course its soaked and all soaked in mud do they do plastic ones for this model does anybody know please help i dont really want to put these back once ive welded up holes yours shaggy



simple answer no and a rusty rear arch is not an mot fail unless it has jagged edges or the rust is on a jacking point

its got holes on the inner arch near seat mounts and seat belt mount so it is a mot failure

best you an do is take the carpet material out and get youreself some schutz underbody seal on the hidden part of the carpet cover it in this underseal and let it dry youll need the underseal to protect the welds youre doing anyway also inside the arch give that a spray as well once all is done refit the carpet and with the wheels off spray 2 coats of the underseal on the carpet it will dry and create a waterproof barrier and prevent rust done it on my mk1 and mk2
