I have just bought my first fiesta 1.4tdci. At some point the battery must have died or got disconnected because my sterio is asking for my code. I have looked on line and put in 4 different codes that have worked for other people but they haven't worked for me.

Each time I put in a new code it makes me wait 30 mins to try again.

Can anyone offer any help

If its not on a card in the owners handbook i would say the safest option would be Ford as you only get 10 attempts before it will hard lock which will be more expensive.

You've tried it 4 times already and if you bought it with it asking for the code you don't know if the previous owner attempted to unlock it.

The code is set to the serial number so using a code for someone else's radio won't work.

My friend has just told me if I get the serial number off the cd player than I can get ford to email me the code.

Have you any idea where the serial number is.

I'm hopless with anything practical. Lol

Press and hold key 6 and then press and release key 2.

You'll get a six digit number prefixed with an 'M'.

This is your serial number.
