Turbo Rebuild Kits Fiesta 1.4 Tdci

Featured Replies

Hi All, has anyone had any experience with these turbo rebuild kits?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FIESTA-FUSION-1-4-TDCI-KP35-TURBO-TURBOCHARGER-REBUILD-REPAIR-SPARES-KIT-/350791880989?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51acd3511d

I have a 2005 1.4 TDCi that is not producing any boost, and I have some oil in the inlet side.. Seen the kits on Ebay for about £40 seems cheaper than a new turbo.. other than no boost mine is all good, bearings are fine, no damage etc..Car is so slow needs sorting....

Any feedback anyone and thanks in advance for any replies:)

I read they are ok as long as there is no damage to fins or shaft. This may be a strip it down first and inspect for damage then decide. I would love to know how you get on.

Gonna pull it apart later, initial inspection shows it is not producing any boost. The turbine only seems to be spinning because of the vacuum from the inlet side.. Wastegate is definalty closed so its not escaping from there. There is definaltly no damage, will try get some pictures of this.. I have seen a fair few comments on other sites about the poor performance of these Fiestas, I think the issue is pretty common just folk dont realise there is an issue. If I disconnect the turbo and drive the car it make no difference power wise...It has to be losing the pressure from the exhaust side so hopefully the kit will sort it...

Good stuff. Ford tdci 's all seem to have issues with poor oil performance to turbos and blocking of oilways/ pipework. There may be a way of checking the oil flow from the turbo. I read somewhere a homemade pipe to a collecting vessel start car and check flow rate. It may be something to read about and run the test to check oil flow.
