I seem to recall some Fiesta owners having the bonnet catch or spring changed under warranty because it is too strong for the Fiesta's light bonnet?

Mine was doing it frequently in the summer but of course Ford couldn't fault it when I took it in. It doesn't do it frequently anymore but occasionally it occurs such as the other day.

Safety is an issue because even with the safety catch, blasting along at 70 with the air resistance will put pressure on the said catch.

Any thoughts?
