Removing Seats.

Featured Replies

I need to remove my front seats from my mk7 2010 fiesta zetec s, I have been told that I need to disconnect the battery before disconnecting the airbags circuits underneath the chairs because they could be set off? Is this true, and has anyone else removed their seats?

Any advice appreciated. :D

Cheers,

Dan.

very much true dan, disconnect both terminals of the battery and remove all together then you can work freely on the car as you wish but id leave it 5mins to let any charge in the car dissipate. then all should be good, and then put the seats and air bags back in plugged in then add the battery again last :)

Wicked, cheers Dan. Had horrible thoughts of airbags busting through my seats, I would b in loads of trouble! Lol

I dont suppose if you know if the stereo in my car would require recoding after removing the power for a while, I have the normal stereo, not the sony one. Cheers, Dan.
