Looking To Buy 09-Onward Fiesta. Advise Please?

Featured Replies

hey guys i have a focus mk2 atm, but the other half wants to learn to drive and thinks the focus will be to big for her, so im gonna downsize to the newer shape fiesta (09 plate onwards)

any advise on what type to get??

i mainly use the car for driving litterally 2 miles to work and back a few times a day.

obviously go elsewhere but thats its main use.

what would be better...diesel/petrol

obviously the cheaper insurance the better so will probably go with the 1.25l engine.

feel free to give any advise please.

thanks in advance.

simon.

Well if your driving is mostly around town then I would keep well away from any diesels.

As for trim level anything above zetec trim has just enough kit to make it nice, if you can get the front quick clear heated windscreen then that is worth going for imo - my dad has it on his 2012 fiesta zetec 1.25.

Also my dad says that the 1.25 is fine for town driving not quick but perfectly adequate, he gets about 44 mpg, it's not so happy on the motorways but again fine (revs at about 3500 at 70 i think). But if you don't do many motorway miles it doesn't matter.

Thanks.

£105 per year

£57.75 6 months

If you want little more poke go for a zetec s, 1.6l about 39mpg £125 RFL and quite adequate on the motorway as well
