Just upgraded from a 2004 1.6 16V zetec to a 2008 1.6 (115) Zetec and whilst its much nicer all round, I'm seeing significantly higher revs at lower speeds for each gear.

Maybe this is as its meant to be , concerned though its a fault and will just end up costing me higher fuels costs.

can anyone confirm that ( on the flat) these are normal numbers please?

5th gear, 60 MPH @2800 rpm

5th gear, 70 MPH @3500 rpm
