Imminent Purchase

Hi all, I will probably be buying a 2009 1.6TDCI Titanium this week and just wondered whether there are any common problems to look out for? thanks

I've heard a few stories of mk7s having leaks in the boot, (my car included). I'd check under the carpet in the boot and make sure its dry where the spare tyre would be.

I second that, I had the same issue bottom of back seats soaked, boot soaked and passanger side light soaked.

Seemed to be a leak coming from a hairline crack in the roof.

Besure to give it a good check!

Yeah I'd 3rd that, going through the same problem myself at the moment.

If it's any help i took it to a Water Ingression Specialist in Glasgow and it cost me £300 it was a crack on some bit of metal on the roof that have to be welded car was in for the day and they dried it all out.
