150Bhp! Fiesta Zs Van 1.6 Tdci

Featured Replies

looking to do a bit under the bonnet to my fiesta mk6 van

current spec , 2007 fiesta sport van 1.6 tdci around 88bhp i think, 92k on the clock

what would adding the following gain me

a full stainless steel exhaust from turbo back ( de cat ) straight threw with just a rolled tip

a front mount intercooler ( i have got one already ) stainless boost pipes

and a good remap ?

what bhp do you think i could gain from the above , looking to sped around £1000

so far can get the exhaust and boost pipe all done for £420

and a remap from a friends friend £220

would a k&n pannel filter do anything ?

any info would be great

thanks

Don't think all that would get you anywhere near 150bhp to be honest. Think you'd need to het into the internals to reach that kind of figure. Your looking for a gain of over 60bhp !!!

iv spoke to the mappers who can map me upto 130bhp , so im looking for another 20bhp from de cat full stainless , panel filter and a fmic

I'd personally be a little cautious of a 40bhp map, most claim "UP TO 30%" increase. You need to be thinking of long term reliability. Just my opinion though.

With all that I'd say 130 is your limit with the engine. Fuelling is an issue after that, so you're going to want better injectors and possibly a better fuel pump.

And turbo,,, there only tiny on these engines.

Cost wise after you added and spent it all, plus the insurance increase, id have bought a 1.6 turbo or even 2lt st would be easier

unsure about your figure, thou i doubt it.... i have a 1.8 tdci, 115. with a cold feed induction, a uprated front mount, stainless exhaust, egr delete and a custom map not file transfer, im only pushing 37bhp more but have around the 240 ftlbs torque
