Rear Passenger Window Problem - Window Not Rising Up

Featured Replies

Hello to all fellow Focus owners! Earlier today my rear passenger window would not rise up after being lowered – the switch on the door itself and the drivers side door are fine and the motor is still working, but whilst the window will go down it will not rise up again. I've had a few minutes to have a brief look inside the door panel as best I can and one of the cables has come away from the rest of the regulator system for that window (the noise of it tapping against the inside of the door made it sound like the glass had cracked when it happened) I can't see if there's any damage to the plastic holder on the regulator.

What's the best way to fix this problem, is it a particularly hard/costly fix or relatively straightforward?

TIA

A car breakers yard would be a good place to start, if you look on the web for one, a good second hand ford part would be best, as you get no fitting problems. or you can try a repair kit a bit of a fiddle to do, but could be the cheapest way.

Thanks for that, would it be best to look for the entire window regulator or just parts for it? (Apologies on the probably obvious/simple questions but this is the first time I've had to deal with something like this in all the time I've had cars!) Or possible to fix with a parts kit like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FOCUS-ELECTRIC-WINDOW-REGULATOR-REPAIR-KIT-REAR-LEFT-/221270581546
