Ford Sync Track Info

Featured Replies

Anyone else have problems with getting sync to display track info through blue tooth?

Just says 'play music through bluetooth' on the screen. Tried deleting and readding my phone (Samsung galaxy note 2). Tried an old Samsung galaxy s2.

Anyone got any ideas?

Have this problem too, I believe when your bluetooth is in use that it just displays the bluetooth. Whereas if you were to plug in via usb it will display the track information.

I'm gonna speak to the dealer and try to find out if it will be able to it. You'd have thought it would already considering my 2012 zetec was able to do it.

A big step back, sync won't show track info :(

Does the 'play artist..' stuff ever work for either of you?

What stuff is that?

Where you say 'play artist' and a name and it starts playing one of their tracks

Ahh, I didn't even know that one - might try it tomorrow and see what happens :)

Think you can do play album, play song etc too.

I guess it's just another thing that doesn't work with bluetooth. Will try plugging phone in through usb tomorrow and see what happens

I have mine hooked up via USB and it displays artist and track details no problem but not if I use bluetooth. Also sometimes it just fails to play at all so have to disconnect the phone and start from scratch again. I use an iPhone 4s.

I also get annoyed that it doesn't seem to remember that I want it to shuffle the tracks so have to set this every time I get in the car.

I don't understand why ford hasn't kept this functionality from the old system. In my old car I could even set shuffle on and off with a button on the dash. Hopefully it will come in an update at some point.

Anyone spoken to ford or dealer about this? I'm going to ring them tomorrow and see if they will find out some more info for me.

Spoke to ford dealer today. They said they have no idea why ford didn't keep this functionality, but unfortunately there are no known plans for this to be added in future updates.

I also asked about any apps i could install and he said there are none available in Europe yet (Only US) and there is no ETA for them.

Think i'm just gonna grab one of these and put all my music on it.
