It Always Happens In Threes...

Well, The Van has decided to Play Silly Buggers with me and is now booked into Dag'num Motors for the following:

1. The fan only works on setting 4, thereby blasting/melting my face off.

2. The driver's side window won't wind down, making car parks FUN as you open door, shove ticket into machine, jump back into car and hit the accelerator before the exit barrier slams into the roof.

3. If I turn on the ignition, the boot lid pops open. Turn the ignition off, the boot lid pops open.

…ilovemyFiesta...

No. 1 will be heater resistor pack - they can be a swine to get at.

Did one for a friend a few weeks ago, after being told it was a dash out job...err...took me an hour or so, and most of tgat, admittedly was trying to get into a position to be able to reach it lol

Sent from my SM-P600 using Ford OC mobile app

No.2 will be a dodgy window regulator, or motor if you have electric windows.

Manual regulators can be bought second hand for 20-30quid roughly same price for a second hand motor

Ah! Thanks folks! I will investigate...

The boot catch is now opening while I'm driving too, so my mornings are going as follows:

Get in van, start engine.

Boot opens.

Nip out the van, close boot.

Nip back into seat, slam door, hit the door lock button sharpish.

Drive off with fingers crossed.

This seems to work, but obviously, if at any point it starts failing to do so, I'm getting the bus (or boat, by the looks of the weather outside...)

If I had a dry place to work and a day off, I'd attempt replacing 1 and 2 myself - but with three things wrong, torrential downpours and an eye-watering work schedule (which I need The Van for), I'm gonna have to let the professionals do this one, buggrit!!

Cars, eh? Who'd have 'em??
