Hi i have recently had a fuel pump fuel rail fuel pressure switch new glow plugs injectors and the fuel system cleaned out as i had starting problems since they was fitted the car runs a lot better when i can start it !!

The problem i have now is i have to put the clutch in to start it and sometimes it takes ages to start if i can get it to start it turns over but wont fire up then sometimes it will start first time. I had the mechanic to check it with his diagnostic m/c everything electrical is working there are no faults showing. He says that its the dmf and i need to replace it and i may aswell get a clutch kit aswell. Does any1 know if that is the problem as its another huge exspense.

Please help 😭

not sure if it would be solely the DMF, if the car is intermittent starting it would sound like its choking somewhere, either fuel flow, air or heat.

Every 1 else says it cannot be the dmf i just had it on another diagnostic m/c by sum1 else and it reads ok. The bloke sprayed fuel up pipe to start it and it fired up without putting clutch in :) he says he thinks theres a fuel problem but without me test he cannot b sure

has the filter been replaced?

Yes m8 had full service aswell

Has anyone looked at the starter motor? If the DMF is on the way out, the starter will be full of bits of metal. It's common to have to replace the starter motor at the same time as the DMF because of the damage caused.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, a failing DMF won't give you any fault codes anyway.

Another bloke has looked at car and said its not the dmf its something to do with fuel. I've just or supposedly had nearly a complete new fuel system and full flush out. I got the bloke who done it to take it back and check as hes the 1 saying its the dmf. If i take a inlet pipe off and spray a fuel up it it will start turning the key
