Mobile Phone Connectivity

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a Fiesta Titanium ('58 plate) with USB and bluetooth. I currently have an iPhones 4s and I listen to music via a Y-Cable. Make phone calls via USB. Although bluetooth streaming does work when I initiate it via voice control, it renders the skip functionality on the steering wheel/audio buttons useless. I can only adjust the volume. Hence why I use the Y-Cable to have full control over the music.

My mobile phone contract is up for renewal and I want to get a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Just wondering if any other fiesta owners have a Samsung phone and use that as their source of music and what cable you use to listen to music? I can't seem to find a Y-cable for samsung anywhere!

F.Y.I. I plan on using google play to listen to music (if that makes any difference?)

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi thanks for the reply. I performed the update several weeks ago (unless there has been a new one since) and it didn't bring the Bluetooth music streaming functionality, unless I'm doing something wrong?

I have a samsung galaxy s4 and my phone connects fine with Ford Sync bluetooth, I can play music wirelessly from spotify too, so i'm guessing it should work with a galaxy note

The update means that you won't need the Y cable any more and can use the Apple one.

Oh I see, I didn't realise that. So I'm guessing a samsung lead will do the same thing?

Many thanks for your advise!
