Heaters

Featured Replies

Hello im wondering if someone can help me diagnose a fault, i have a 2005 ford fiesta and the blowers inside the car do not work on 1,2,3 or 4. i have been told its the heater matrix but wondered if anyone else had any other ideas before i buy a heater matrix.. thank you

Hi Daniel .

The heater matrix ?? i may be wrong but i thought the heater matrix was the `small radiator` that the fan blows air through to get the hot air ,if that sounds right ,why would this stop the blowers from working .

Normally if your fan dosen`t blow on 1,2,3 but blows on 4 then this is the heater resistor packing in .if it dosen`t blow at all maybe this has packed in totally ??

The first thing you want to do is check all the fuses. Look in the handbook for the car and it will say which fuse controls it. Doesn't sound like a heater matrix to me, more blower motor or wiring for it. However you can test the heater matrix by putting the air flow on face, and heat to full and (when the car is warm) driving at motorway speeds (50MPH+). The air will be forced through the system and should come out of the vents warm.
