Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been posted before, I tried a search but couldnt really find a match. Also, sorry if the title brings confusion, I'm not sure what these controls are called exactly..

Basically, I was stripping down the centre console and removed the manual heating/rear window demister control column and found some extra wirings which are not in use. I was wondering if I could be able to use them for something or if they are connected to anything and I just need to buy a button to be able to activate them? I have the basic Focus (Style) so I doubt they actually do anything, the only one that's connected is the rear window demister.

Leftmost connector (with the red latch) is for the Passenger Airbag De-activation Warning Light; to make use of this
requires an additional ignition key operated switch to be fitted in the glovebox and the GEM to be programmed.

Middle connector (as you know) is for the heated rear screen.

Right connector is for the heated front screen (probably was an cost option fitment for a Style) if the wire colours are :-

• Black+White (3 off)
• Green+White
• Orange+White

To confirm for you-

(buttons 1 to 4 from left)

1. Passenger airbag deactivation warning light
2. Front heated screen switch
3. Rear heated screen switch
4. Standard Focus - ESP button / CC model - roof control switch

yeah and dont fit buttons if you dont have the parts fitted as it will be an mot fail if the buttons illuminated and has anything to do with airbags
