Hi everyone , I was just wondering if any one could help me , I have a mondeo 1.8 16v estate 2003 car , when I'm driving the car and it has got warm the car beings to hold back and start juddering as if it's got no fuel , but if you turn the key off and start it again it is ok for 40 seconds or so then it does it again , this only happens when warm , if you dip the clutch when driving and rev it , it will rev like normal but then as soon as the clutch is let back out it starts juddering again ? , I have changed the plugs and leads , the fuel pump and it is still doing it ? Does any one have any ideas please , many thanks in advance ,

Have u done any diagnostics on it yet any fault codes

yes I have had one don't and it does not come up with any faults

Is this while driving an only when u release the clutch does it go out of it when revs pick up

maybe fuel filter, sounds like its starving under load? could be wrong......

hi mick 85 , it does it when its warm , it is ok if I turn it off while im driving down the road and turn it straight back on , so I don't know , this can stay ok for 30 seconds or half an hour , it depends ,

Fuel filter sounds like a prime suspect to me, it could be the housing is damaged, or its clogged up (do you use a lot of supermarket fuel?)

Start by replacing this as its only a few quid in the grand scheme of things and never does any harm.

Moving this to the mondeo section.
