Diamondbrite

Featured Replies

Hello again had any one had the Diamondbrite forever done to there car ??..

I stupidly paid for this when I bought my car last year. Wish I hadn't really as I don't think it's worth the charge.

It's just a fancy term for waxing/polishing your car. Something dealers try and sell you to boost their profit/commision when you buy a car. Save your money and do it yourself :)

Yeah I agree. I planned on keeping the car for a good few years so I thought I would get the cover in case. I have a little scratch on the car at the moment so I'm going to ring Diamondbrite soon to see if they can do anything (doubt they will!!)

the dealer threw this in as an incentive to buy my fiesta..at the time i thought well at least it will mean the cars had a proper clean, .in my own opinion its not what they say it is and i'm glad i never paid for it - a decent polish is just as good

Can't complain if it's thrown in though I guess! :D

Yeah absolutely. Can't complain! If I was to speak to anyone buying a new car now I'd say your better off paying the money to get the GAP insurance than getting Diamondbrite.

I used Permaseal on my car (did it myself) when I bought it and purchased the Supaguard kit from eBay for £10. I used the Supaguard on the wheels and interior and Permasealed the bodywork. The Permaseal lasts much longer than the other similar options although I still use a quick wax occasionally.

I Supaguarded the bodywork on my previos Focus and it lasted about 6 months, so was no better than a normal wax, however the stuff for the interior is just like scotch guard and seems to work a treat.

Autoglym HD Wax once every 4-6 months. Or Mitchell and king if you can afford it! Way better than any of that "long term protection" garbage.

I previously bought a FF that had had this done and i must say the shine lasted and when cleaned and spruced up looked almost new. I then changed it for anew car and stupidly had the dealers version applied, I am not impressed and to be honest they could have got away with not applying and i would not have known. If i was to change the car i would go get it home and have the Diamondbrite applied at home. or as others say DIY with Autoglym.
