Front Windows Do Not Wipe Clear Raindrops / Condensation

Another minor difference between my previous car and my Mk 2.5 Focus Zetec is that the windows do not wipe themselves clear of raindrops or condensation when i lower and raise them. Is this a problem with the seal, or a common feature of the Focus? Is there something that can be done?
