I bought a mk6 fiesta with 86k on the clock last week, the temp gauge is always at half way and I check the water and oil every couple of days but after iv taken it on a hard drive and really opened it up I'm getting a burning smell when I get home, iv heard things like it could be burning oil and other things but it's not using hardly any!

Any ideas ?

    Sounds like it could be as simple as the thermostat needs replacing.

    It's completely gone now , but thanks for the reply ! But iv now got a rattle after hitting a bump or a speed hump :( only just had timing belt changed and it wasn't like it before it was changed
