Rattling Noise

Featured Replies

Recently I noticed that my clutch was making a noise , like scapping metal.

from reading on this forum i can see others saying that it's most likely the throwout bearing so it would need a new clutch kit replaced and possibly the DMF

I now hear another noise that has developed over the last couple of weeks, when i start the car from cold i can hear ratting quite loud, then after driving for about 15 minutes the noise goes away.

What could this be?

thanks

Hello 555

Some info on your car may be a help Age, Engine Size, Petrol / Diesel Mileage etc etc. As a shot in the Dark tho Id say possbily you have a Diesel and the rattling that you hear is possibly the Tensioner on the Aux Belt nothing really to worry about unless it gets really loud and causes the belt to slip.
