Setting Clock Can Not Set Year Past 2013 ?

Featured Replies

While setting the time on my 2009 focus 2.0 tdci as it regularly looses time over a few weeks I noticed the year was wrong I can set the day month but the year will not go past 2013 it then goes back to 2003 ..... So the range is from 2003 to 2013 and just loops around ... Any thoughts

Swear I read someone put on here before that you set it to 31/12/2013 23:59 then let wait a min till it goes to 2025 N set the date and month.

I have a 2009 cmax and my clock wouldn't go passed 2019.   It is now 2020.

I set mine by adjusting the date and clock to it's maximum setting which was  31 12 2019  23:59

Press set and come out of the menu

Let the clock tick over to midnight 00:00 and let it go past midnight example 00:01

Now go back to the clock settings and you'll find you can now progress the year.

It maybe that you have to take your clock to it's max setting which will vary model by model and manufactures year before you carry out the above .

Regards

Keith

I have a 2010 Focus Zetec and this trick worked for me.

I set the initial date and time to 31.12.3024 with 23.59PM and came out of the menu, all together.

At 0.01 on the screen, I went into the clock menu again and was able to advance to the correct date 07.02.25.

Many thanks all!

unlike the fool and their silly time-wasting thread above - re using a pertinent thread full of useful detail and info about the issue is a great idea

1) it means your point is likely shared with others
2) it jogs people's memory that might know info or fixes about the issues
3) gets new news in one useful thread instead of 6 loads of garbage
4) helps out others
5) also meaning less pointless searches and less drivel taking up harddrive space and slowing down forums
