Mk6 Fiesta Window Regulator

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have a Fiesta Mk6 here, 3dr with electric windows.

Back end of last week the window stopped going up and down, it just made a crunching noise when switches were operated.

Put the job off for a few days and today stripped doorcard off and removed the speaker to find that the regulator cables had snapped and were rusty! :S

So now im left with having to replace the cable mechanism on it, oh the joys!

Ive rang our local ford dealer, and they wanted £92 for the regulator guides and the cables. Similar price on Euro Parts before any discount applied.

However, ive noticed there are cable kits on Ebay for roughly £15.

Has anyone on here any experience of using the above kits? Obvilously they are far cheaper than a whole new regulator. If anyone has any advice regarding these kits it would be much appreciated. VWs are more my thing so ford's im not clued up on at all and not sure what to avoid etc.

Thanks in advance

Chris
