Featured Replies

My friend has a 57 plate focus ghia 2.0 he bought a new battery about 3 months ago. Last night when driving home car died and battery is completely flat. Like 1.3v in it. He bought it from euro car parts but he's now thinking did he get recommended the wrong battery.

Anyone know what battery type is recommended ?.

Visual check looks ok. But battery has been on charge and its not built any charge yet.

When fully charged check alternator with multimeter should be over 14 volts while car running

Ye indeed it should be but ATM it's not charging at the moment at all.

Any battery that physically fits the tray and is a Silver Calcium rated over 70AHC will be best as it will provide better cranking and therefore good cold starting abilities.
