Hi all if my 16 Tdci 95 bhp starts to regenerate the DPF (fan on after stop smells like car on fire )If I go home left it over night as was off to 200 mile run next day will it have done the Regen the next day, only had the hot smell twice in 28000 miles so all is ok.

    depends what your driving was like the next day (ie if the revs werev kept high enough/engine got hot enough to burn off the carbon)

    iNath most of the run was A38,M42 and M5 +5 or 6 miles at each end most of the time was 70ish on my sat nav 75 on spedo 2500 to 2600 rpm.

    Not sure if it did regen as mpg was 54ish and this what I get most of the time.(Think they should drop in a regen cycle)?
