Engine Management Light 2013 Fiesta

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with the engine management light on their cars? I brought the fiesta zetec ecoboost engine in March 2013 and the engine management light has come on 4 times since me buying the car.

The garage has had the car 2 or 3 times and kept it for a week at a time saying that they have fixed the problem but the light has come on again for the 4th time. The last time it went in they said it was a wire that had come loose in the middle of the engine, previous to this ive been told theres an air leak and something else technical i cant remember what they said it was though.

The car is due for a service which I am booking it in for but it just seems like the EML is always on!

Thanks

As far as I would be concerned, it is under warranty, so keep taking it back till they fix it.

If it gets difficult it can be easier (for you) to try a different Ford dealership, but you should never have to put up with it.

Someone on here had problems with there new Fiesta ecoboost, The Engine managment light kept coming on. Turned out to be an issue with the throttle body. I have heard of this a few times.

I'd be inclined to get it diagnosed elsewhere, then take it back and see what they tell you, and if it ties up.

That way you'll know if they are being straight and honest with you.
