Hi all

Had to go into the dealers to sign some paperwork yesterday and had a look at my new ST parked round the back

I was looking inside and noticed a small dome shaped thing in the middle of the dashboard close to the windscreen

does anyone know what it is

Sunload sensor for the climate control. At least that is what it says in the user guide.

+1, definitely the sun load sensor.

It enables the climate control to take direct sunlight into consideration when maintaining the temperature set on the controls.

Is that used in the manual climate control as I didn't order the automatic one

I don't have EATC and mine also has the dome shaped thing on the dash board. Is it just dummy unless you have the EATC?

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Ford OC mobile app

Probably just a dummy as you say.

Earlier cars had just a circle in the dash plastic where the sensor could be fitted if in the spec.

Obviously now they're following Peugeot, Fauxhall etc and building a bump in for aesthetic reasons.

(I know i mispelt V#####ll, totally intentional ;))
