    going to get the aux tensioner replaced with waterpump and hopfully have few years of motoring left.

    Well it didn't actually snap..... it stripped its teeth. Nothing to suggest it went early either. Looks like original belt with 149k miles on it which is 50% over recommended interval.

    It was a genuine ford Belt and Belt tensioner. Bolt was also torqued resonabily low.

    8 owners and not 1 changed it. Leaves alot to be desired considering upon cambelt stipping iv notied car as had poly bushes upgrades in various locations.

    Sadly my intermittenced battery light is now on 100% and not chargering even tho i have replaced the alternator plug and 12Inchs of wire and Cleaned up the engine bay earth straps. RTX alternator is only few months old i brought it 4 days after buying the car.
