Stolen Plates

Featured Replies

I just want to make people aware, I had my number plates stolen on Saturday 15th March.

I know who has stolen them and they have been reported to police as stolen, but if anyone see's these being used other than on an Ford Mondeo Ghia X then it's not my car and so can you report the location where they have been seen and the type of car they are on to the police.

PLATE: FN02XMA

Cheers Guys.

Sorry to hear that you have been targeted!

Chances are they have been stolen to put on a car the same as yours

Possibly for use in a robbery or fill tank in petrol station and drive off without paying.

We've had issues with a family where we live (Hopefully moving soon) and I think they have done it, because I confronted them over setting fire to Volvo.

It's just a pain I have to put up with police pulling me now, though I am carrying my V5 with me at all times.

Now you've reported the theft there will be a marker on PNC linked to your plate.

Carrying the V5C and identity documents (license/passport/work ID) is a very good idea.

You will likely be pulled a couple of times but if you do then at least you know that your local Force is keeping a watch.

The ANPR system in most cars will alert the Officers whenever the plate is read.

We have quite a few stationary ANPR cameras around, so I'm expecting on Wednesday to get pulled a few times as I'll be passing them about a dozen times on that day.

+1 exactly what i was going to say, probably on a car of the same/ similar colour too
