Does anyone have any idea what the traffic is like at around 6:00AM on a Friday morning on the M6 Southbound?

I need to drive to Oxford from Manchester tomorrow morning, and want to avoid sitting in a car park for a couple of hours

    No idea but there's a big event on at Birmingham NEC starting tomorrow and running for three days, so with that and the airport, I'd probably try to avoid that area if you can.

    360 mile round trip for a 2 hour meeting!!!

    The m6 is never that bad round the west Midlands nowadays, its got 4 lanes and variable speed limits. At that time of day it will be dead anyways

    I was at the NEC for 3 days at Rezzed (Eurogamer). There was also the Ideal Home show and X-Factor tour on, and the traffic was fine. The only traffic I've hit at all was on the M6 today where a car had hit the central reservation on the other side, and everybody on my side slowed down to rubber-neck.
